So I know we’re nineteen days into the new year (wow, 19 days?! that’s crazy!) but it’s never too late to make positive changes in our lives, right? (or get free goodies! Gimme gimme :D) I’m such a party pooper though :( I don’t exactly make hardcore New Years resolutions because:
>> I know they won’t last the week for me
>> it’s way too much pressure and I just set myself up for disappointment
>> the idea just seems forced and contrived to me
Is it just me who thinks that?
What’s your take on the whole New Year resolution deal? Now don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against setting goals for yourself- in fact, I think it’s great to give yourself targets even though you haven’t met them in the past. This is embarrassing, but, for me, it’s going to the gym- I set a target for myself every few months or so, it lasts about half the proposed duration, I get bored, make another resolution a week later and the horrible cycle continues. Why oh why do I hate exercising so muuuuch! The upside to this goal-setting cycle is that at least this way I get some amount of exercise, as opposed to none at all. Does that make sense?
Anyhoo, in the spirit of resolutions and goals and all things positive, the lovely ladies of The Blogging Elite have put together a totally awesome New Year New You giveaway for you guys!
